When he discovers a huge moose in the family garden, Luke wakes up his mum and dad, who first decree it completely impossible. However, when their son leads them into the yard, they have to admit that he is not fabulous! The parents take turns trying to chase the beast away with a broom and a garden hose, but it's Luke's sisters who ultimately manage to scare the beast by pulling out their water guns and pretending to be huntresses. The kid did not say his last word, however, and fled into the forest with carrots, promising himself to make the moose his pet. A wacky new adventure (although lacking a bit of spice) from the tasty Canadian tandem. The text, marked by exaggeration, onomatopoeias and typographical games, is however well served by watercolors overflowing with dynamism in which gently caricatured protagonists come to life. [SDM].
