This book details the loves and offspring of the British monarchs from William the Conqueror to the present day. It is frank and fair about wives, loved and otherwise, lovers and mistresses, and those monarchs rumored to be homosexual and presents the (usually lack of) evidence in an objective way. The book is frank without being prurient. The book proved to be a good review of British royal history.
