Paulie Lockwood's best friend Todd Bannister is destined for the major leagues until a line drive to the head causes him to lose an eye and they both must find a new future for themselves. Todd then gets a patch on his eye and cannot throw as good as he used to. He winds up going to Plattsburgh college for business
