It's about a family of diamond merchants and the diamond business. The story centres around one man who has been given an uncut crystal from his family. It seems to be a diamond, has always been assumed it was a diamond, with similar properties yet isn't and has miraculous healing powers that those who know about covet. This book was hard to get into, got fairly predictable to be honest but an interesting read.
