A woman research scientist joins a scientific team attempting to travel in time. They have perfected the device, and selected the era of primitive man to travel to, but it is a one way trip. They select the woman scientist to be their first traveler. First they train her to be a woman for the primitive era: a piece of property, a slave. When she goes back in time, she becomes the captive of a tribe of primitive hunters-gatherers who treat her as the piece of cattle she has become.
