Nina Raine's play, 'Tribes' premieres on the main stage of the Royal Court in September 2010. It is the story of Nicky who is deaf, although he lip-reads really well so his deafness goes unnoticed. Then he meets Sylvia, whos hearing is deteriorating rapidly and who has her own, more complicated, ideas about deafness.
